Peeling a potato can be a tedious task, but with the right technique it can be made easier and quicker. One method of peeling potatoes that doesn’t require any special tools is to use just water. Here’s how to do it:
- Fill a bowl or sink with warm water and soak the potatoes for 10-15 minutes.
- Remove the potatoes from the water and gently rub the skin with your fingers. The skin should begin to loosen and come off easily.
- If there are stubborn areas that won’t come off, you can use a vegetable brush to gently scrub the skin.
- Repeat on the other side of the potato, until all the skin has been removed.
- Rinse the potatoes under cold water to remove any excess starch or bits of skin.
