Hydrogen peroxide or rubber to remove black streaks from walls
There are two other great remedies to remove black halos from walls. Here’s what they are:
- Hydrogen Peroxide : When it comes to light colored walls, hydrogen peroxide offers an alternative to baking soda for cleaning. If you have this product at home, you should never underestimate its benefits for home use. To ensure a thorough cleaning, dampen a microfiber cloth with water, wring it out, and add a small amount of hydrogen peroxide. Let the water sit on the wall for a few hours , then wipe the surface with a cloth to remove any marks. Finally, rinse the area thoroughly.
- Eraser : Often used for small pencil marks or easily removable imperfections, the eraser is an essential DIY tool. Using anything other than a standard white eraser could cause color transfer and make the problem worse when trying to remove black streaks from walls. Apply gentle pressure to the eraser as it rubs over the black streaks and, if persistent, it will eventually fade. Before you know it, the wall will be restored to its original state.
