Introduction:

Eggless Chocolate Salami is a decadent and easy-to-make treat that’s perfect for all occasions. This no-bake dessert resembles a salami, but with a delicious twist of chocolate, biscuits, and nuts. Ideal for vegans, vegetarians, or anyone avoiding eggs, this dessert comes together quickly and offers a rich, indulgent flavor. It’s a perfect choice for gatherings, festive occasions, or as a simple treat for yourself. Whether served chilled or at room temperature, it’s guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients:

200g digestive biscuits or any plain tea biscuits
100g dark chocolate (70% cocoa or your preferred type)
50g unsalted butter
3 tablespoons sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
50g chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, or hazelnuts)
1/4 cup milk (or any dairy-free alternative like almond milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Directions:

Prepare the Biscuit Mixture: Break the biscuits into small pieces or crush them into chunks. You can do this by placing them in a plastic bag and gently rolling a rolling pin over them to crush.

Melt the Chocolate and Butter: In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate with butter. You can do this over a double boiler or in the microwave in short intervals, stirring each time until smooth.

Add Dry Ingredients: To the melted chocolate mixture, add sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Stir until fully combined.

Combine with Biscuits and Nuts: Add the crushed biscuits and chopped nuts to the chocolate mixture. Stir gently to ensure the biscuits are coated with the chocolate mixture. Be careful not to overmix, as you want to maintain the texture of the biscuits.

Shape the Salami: Transfer the mixture onto a piece of parchment paper or cling film. Shape it into a log, pressing the mixture firmly together. You can adjust the size based on your preference (a thicker log will create a thicker slice). Wrap the log tightly and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours or until set.

Serving: Once set, dust the chocolate salami with powdered sugar (if desired) for an extra touch of sweetness. Slice into rounds and serve.
