The laurel is a plant that symbolizes victory. But did you know that a simple leaf of this vegetable can help you combat a recurring problem at home? This trick creates a pleasant atmosphere at home and at a lower cost.

This herb is a shrub native to the Mediterranean region and belongs to the Lauraceae family. It goes very well with dishes such as ratatouille, stew, terrine or court bouillon.  It can also   be served in a soup to enhance its taste. However, bay leaves can also   have other uses   in the home. Here’s what happens when you put a few sheets of it in the oven.

The laurel is a symbol of victory

You will certainly have seen it on a diploma. And for good reason,   laurel wreaths sat on the heads of heroes in ancient times  . In the Middle Ages, laurel berries crowned the heads of those who had passed their test called bacca laurea [note: laurel berries]. But bay leaves are not only a symbol of victory, they can also be useful to you in everyday life.

If you like consuming bay leaves in infusion or massage oils, know that despite   its many benefits, it  is not recommended  for pregnant or breastfeeding women, but also   for   children under 6 years old . This plant is not recommended in case of allergic terrain or asthma. It is advisable to apply it after a skin test and ask a doctor if you want to take bay leaves orally.
