Ingredients
1 cup (about 200 ml) carrier oil (almond, olive or jojoba oil)
2 tablespoons dried lavender flowers (or a handful of fresh flowers, well cleaned)
1 glass jar with an airtight seal
1 fine cotton cloth or strainer
Directions
Preparing the flowers
If using fresh flowers, make sure they are dry to avoid contamination. Dried flowers are better for longer storage.

Infusing the oil

Pour the oil of choice into the glass jar.
Add the lavender flowers and stir gently to completely immerse them.
Warming (slow method)

Cover the jar and let it sit in a warm, sunny place for 2-4 weeks.
Gently shake the jar every 2-3 days to improve the infusion.
Warming (fast method)

Heat the oil and flowers in a double boiler for 2-3 hours, keeping the heat low (do not exceed 40-50°C).
Make sure the oil never boils.
