When the water begins to boil, remove from the heat, drain, and let cool. Caution: the potatoes should not boil, but should be slightly scalded.

Place the potatoes in a large bowl and add a teaspoon of oil, mixing well with your hands to grease all the potatoes.

To make crispy chips, you have two options. The first is to use an air fryer, if available. The second is to bake them in the oven at about 220-250 degrees for about 30-40 minutes. Once cooked, turn them over halfway through and wait until they are golden brown all over.
