  • With white vinegar

There are several options for cleaning and disinfecting your refrigerator. But first, you need to empty the refrigerator before adding any products. Afterward, simply wipe it down with a cloth and dry it. Here are the steps to follow to clean the inside of your refrigerator:

  1. Remove all food from the refrigerator
  2. Unplug the device
  3.  Add 3 parts warm water and 1 part vinegar to a spray bottle and spray generously on clear refrigerator shelves
  4. With a damp washcloth, wipe down the shelves and walls, removing all spills and dirt. If you have a tougher stain, pour a small amount of undiluted vinegar on the area and let it sit for a few minutes.
  5. Wipe with a towel and the refrigerator is ready to use again.
  6. To keep your refrigerator in good condition between cleanings, keep a bottle of vinegar-based cleaner handy for quick cleanups. Be sure to label it, along with any other homemade cleaning products.
  • With salt water

Another trick for cleaning the inside of the refrigerator that our grandmothers used is to apply salt water. Mix a handful of salt in about 4 liters of warm water and use a sponge to scrub the inside of the refrigerator.
