“Peruvian method”

For one of the two victims, there is no doubt that the criminals “know that tourists take money from cars, they are organized groups.” And for good reason, this technique is not new: it was developed in the 1990s. Called the “Peruvian method”, it is particularly used in the Barcelona and La Jonquera area.

To avoid being fooled, when in doubt, it is best to lock your vehicle when you get out to help someone in distress on the side of the road. Furthermore, it is always possible not to stop if something seems suspicious. In any case, it is better to remain cautious and always keep your eyes open.
