How to Clean a Scorched Oven in 5 Minutes

This homemade method is able to guarantee a brilliant result and eliminate odors without using chemical detergents.
In addition, this solution is environmentally friendly, not to mention practical from an economic point of view.
First of all, you need to remove all baking sheets, casseroles and racks from the oven and make sure there is nothing superfluous before you start cleaning. If possible, it is advisable to disassemble the oven door by lifting the side levers to make it easier to clean the gaps and seals.
Steam cleaning
To prepare the mixture, put a bowl full of water on the stove and bring it to a boil. When it starts to boil, turn off the heat and add a glass of vinegar. Then preheat the oven to a temperature between 150 ° and 180 ° C. When the oven has reached the desired temperature, turn it off and put the pan with water and vinegar inside the oven.
Let the steam work for at least three hours to soften the encrustations on the oven walls. Then finish by removing all residue with softened encrustations using a spatula or soft sponge.
Lemon and Baking Soda for Oven Scum
To remove stubborn dirt from the oven , you can use another trick which consists of mixing 170g of baking soda with 3 or 4 tablespoons of warm water in a bowl.
Schüssel and Natron
Add a few drops of lemon juice , as it is known for its degreasing effect, and mix the mixture well. Then dip a sponge in the mixture and use it to scrub all parts of the oven, paying particular attention to the dirtiest and most encrusted areas. Finally, rinse frequently with warm water.
To finish cleaning the oven , you can spray the still damp parts with water and baking soda with vinegar, which will create a strong degreasing chemical reaction.
You can use a spray bottle to make it easier to apply the vinegar. Let the mixture sit for at least an hour . Then rinse the oven walls thoroughly with a sponge and warm water, gradually removing all the vinegar and baking soda particles.
Finally, dry everything with a clean cloth and make sure there are no odors or dirt residue.
Then clean the oven racks and door, paying particular attention to the seals . Sprinkle the racks with baking powder on a work surface , then spray the vinegar until it foams white.
