How do they get into your toilet?
Unlike snakes and rats, spiders do not go up the pipes, but they love wet bathrooms. They can sneak into them by small interstices, attracted by flies and other insects.
What types of spiders?
- The black widow can weave her web under the toilet (especially in the outside toilet).
- Other spiders such as the brown recluse can hide in dark corners.
How can they be prevented from entering?
- Keep your bathroom dry, because spiders like humidity.
- Eliminate insects (flies, mosquitoes) so as not to attract them.
- Inspect regularly the underside of the toilet seat, especially in hot areas.
