Unlike a mosquito lamp, this mosquito catcher is inexpensive and easy to make. All you need is a simple plastic bottle and the following ingredients:
300 ml of water
4 tablespoons of sugar
1 g of baker’s yeast
1- Start by drawing a circle around the bottle so that the bottom of the bottle is larger than the top, then cut the bottle in half.
2- Then pour the sugar into the bottom of the bottle. Heat the water in a saucepan, then pour it over the previous ingredient. Let it cool for about twenty minutes before adding the yeast.
3- This mixture immediately generates carbon dioxide, which attracts mosquitoes.
4 – Then remove the cap from the bottle and insert the top of the bottle upside down into the area filled with this mixture.
5- Finish the process by securing the edges with tape. Finally, place your trap in your room or any other place where mosquitoes can enter. They sneak in, but cannot get out. You can replace the sugar with fruit, honey, or sweet juice.
