How to Clean the Dishwasher with the Bowl Method

Below we explain how to clean your dishwasher using the bowl method, using only baking soda and vinegar, to leave your appliance perfectly clean and smelling great.

First, spread about 150 grams of baking soda over the entire internal surface of the dishwasher, from the bottom to the cutlery baskets.

Bicarbonate of soda is very effective in removing limescale and grease, but also in neutralizing bad odors.

The second step is to place a bowl (or cup) filled with white vinegar on the top rack of the dishwasher.

Vinegar also neutralizes bad odors, disinfects and removes limescale.

Finally, run a high temperature wash and wait until it is completely finished.

During the wash, the vinegar and baking soda will come into contact, and the chemical reaction will thoroughly clean the dishwasher. Only clean water will remain in the bowl.
