2 cups chicken broth
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon each onion powder and garlic powder
2 teaspoons paprika
3/4 cup all-purpose flour, divided
1 onion, sliced

3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
