Liquids splashing onto surfaces, sauces or grease splashes, overflowing dishes… Even the kitchen isn’t immune to dirt when we step into the kitchen. This is especially true for gas burners, where the heat easily causes food residue to accumulate and stick. Fortunately, there are very effective ingredients to get rid of this dirt.

Regular cleaning is essential for optimal kitchen care. Grease residue can build up on hobs, grills, ovens, and more. Gas burners, in particular, can become dirty and cause malfunctions. To prevent this buildup over time, opt for a homemade method using readily available ingredients.

How do you clean gas stove burners?
If your burners take a long time to light or the flames are very weak and irregular, it could be due to debris clogging the gas vents. This generally happens when food residue drips onto the sides of pots and pans and clogs the holes in your burner lid. Over time, this residue hardens and becomes more difficult to remove. But there’s an effective trick to get rid of it.

Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
1 g of Marseille soap
2 liters of water
A used soft-bristled toothbrush
Wide basin
How to proceed? First, grate your soap to obtain flakes.
Boil the water in a saucepan and add the Marseille soap to dissolve it. This ingredient can also be used to clean and shine dirty kitchen floors.
Once the mixture is homogeneous, pour everything into a bowl and add the white vinegar.
Immerse your burners in the container and let them soak for 30 minutes.
Once this time is up, take your used toothbrush and scrub the stubborn stains. Let the burners soak for another 5 minutes.
Rinse the burners with clean water and then dry them with a clean cloth before putting them back on the stove.
You can repeat this process once a week to keep your gas burners clean. If they are extremely dirty, add baking soda to your soapy water basin, let it sit for a few minutes and pour in the white vinegar. These ingredients can also help you clean the bottom of burnt pans.
