The Real Usefulness of Color Marks
In reality, these small colored stripes have absolutely nothing to do with the composition of the toothpaste. They are simply technical markers used during the manufacturing process. These “tracking eyes,” as they are called in industrial jargon, allow machines to:
- Detect cutting areas, in order to cut the tube precisely.
- Weld the tube parts correctly, ensuring a hermetic seal.
- Align the print to ensure well-positioned packaging.
Colors are chosen based on contrast with the packaging, so that machine sensors can easily identify the brands. The choice of color depends solely on the manufacturer’s requirements and production requirements.
