Rodents, these small, agile and sometimes invasive creatures, are often considered scourges in our homes and gardens. In addition to the property damage they cause, they can also transmit various pathogens that are dangerous to humans and pets. Among the most common rodents are rats and mice, which often sneak into our homes seeking shelter and food.

Identifying rodents: rat or mouse?

Rats tend to proliferate in urban, suburban and agricultural areas. There are black and brown rats, which generally weigh less than 500 grams. They like attics, basements and the surrounding areas of houses. Mice, on the other hand, are smaller, have a grayish or brown color and hide in isolated and comfortable places in the house.
